Set Up Google Family Link First

If your child has an Android phone, you'll need to set up Google Family Link before applying app and screen time controls.

Step 1: Download Google Family Link

Both parent and child need a Google account.

Download the Family Link app on your own phone and follow the setup instructions.

Step 2: Add Your Child's Google Account

You can either:

• Create a new Google account for your child during setup, or
• Supervise an existing Google account.

Follow the prompts to connect your child's device to your account.

Step 3: Secure Your Parent Account

Use a strong password on your Google account and enable two-factor authentication.

🚫 Don't share your Google password with your child.

🚫 Don't save passwords where they can easily find them.

Step 4: Review App Permissions

Family Link allows you to:

• Approve app downloads
• Set daily screen time limits
• Schedule downtime
• View device activity
